New Zealand Falcon. Hunters/Farmers shoot these birds frequently and their numbers are in decline and they are becoming endangered. This was taken at Wingspan - a rehabilitation centre. This particular bird was free to fly away at any time. However it was fascinated by my camera and jumped fence post after fence post to get nearer and nearer to me. Eventually I had to change lens to my macro and I could have just reached out and touched it.
