We had a zoo trip at night. So the photo was taken on long exposure just before complete darkness. If he had moved - it wouldn't have worked - but he just lay there, completely utterly contented.

that line the rocks form is quite cool, keeps me focussed on the lion for some reason.

To me it looks like he is in pain more than just being lazy :)

He looks relaxed but still there's like a sadness in there somewhere.. I dont know but that's the exact thing I thought about when I looked at him for the first time.

yes, someone else said he looked like in pain - but I think he's just sleepy. Just prior to going to sleep he had three playful cubs all over him - and you know how tiresome toddlers can be sometimes LOL!!
